Calling all alumni - models needed for retro collection

Wednesday, May 22, 2024 | Daily Bulletin (1)

A message from W Store.

W Store is launching a new UW Retro Collection, inspired by retro fashion and styles that are trending now more than ever.

We are looking for UWaterloo Alumni that would be interested in meeting with the W Store team to wear and showcase the products in the collection. This launch is in collaboration with University Relations, UWaterloo Library and Alumni Relations.

We would ask that you are comfortable taking photos and being "interviewed" about your time at UWaterloo and your favourite experiences for our social media channels. Other promotional materials include signage, website material, W Rewards images and other digital marketing material.

We are hoping to schedule a photoshoot for Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29. We don't anticipate the photoshoot to take more than 2 to3 hours. We will gladly work with your schedule to accommodate your availability!

If you are interested and would like to learn more about the opportunity, please fill out the Google form.

  1. University of Waterloo Math Mural-2024 Award of Excellence

The challenge: help students find the Math Undergraduate Office. The solution: A striking hand-painted mural was created to capture students' attention and transform the area into a vibrant landmark. This artistic addition would not only guide undergraduates to the office—a central hub for general inquiries, course selection, and enrollment issues—but also provide a dynamic backdrop for students to take prideful selfies, enhancing their connection to the academic community. Of note, our artist is Waterloo graduateStephanie Boutari(BAS ’11, March ‘14).

The Award of Distinctionis presented to projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.
