Steve D early HBO success sure to unsettle Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit underwhelming considering the subject matter and the cast. Still, it's a servicable film with some messages eerily applicable to today. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member i enjoyed this one. Yaron Svoray is a Jewish freelance reporter who goes to Germany to write an article about neonazism. While visiting a Turkish refugee camp a gang of skinheads attack. When the police arrive, he is mistakenly arrested which gives the skinheads the impression that he is a sympathiser for the Nazi cause. Yaron sees the opportunity and slowly infiltrates the group. He is appalled and disgusted by what he sees, but he's determined to dig deeper. Yaron discovers that the Nazism runs deeper and is more powerful than he ever could have imagined. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This completely enraged me, but I was also really impressed with the quality of the acting and the overall impression the movie left. If you're easily upset, you should probably skip this, but if you've ever been remotely interested in the subject matter, this is definitely something that shouldn't be missed. This was one of the best performances I've ever seen from Oliver Platt, and despite the fact that I wanted to punch the first person in sight after seeing this, it's a really good movie. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of those movies that I found used for dirt, dirt cheap which means that it isn't very popular and probably isn't too good. I was actually pretty surprised that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The story follows a Jewish reporter to investigate the recent Neo Nazi/Skinhead attacks. The reporter has to make his way inside their ranks, and considering he is Jewish there is a lot at stake. This movie isn't horrible, but it certainly isn't great. This is one of those to check out if you don't have anything to watch or you find it for ridiculously cheap. This is one where you might really love it or you might really hate it. There isn't anything special that sticks out that makes me want to give this movie a higher rating; just as there isn't anything that is so horrible that I would give it anything less than a 60%. So check it out sometime, if you feel like something different. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie about an awful true story...
