Step 1 - Prep Dough

This recipe is as simple as thawing and rolling out your puff pastry, then using a 2-inch cookie cutter or biscuit cutter and cutting rounds in the dough.

Tip: you can also cut these into squares, so you don't waste any dough.

Step 2 - Top Dough with Goat Cheese

After you cut the rounds from the dough, transfer them to a parchment-lined cookie sheet, and press down the center, so they don't puff too much.

Place some goat cheese in the center of each round.

Step 3 - Bake

Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake!

Step 3 - Dizzle with Honey

Equipment

  • rolling pin

  • round biscuit or cookie cutter

  • parchment paper

  • baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 6-8 oz. goat cheese
  • Âź cup honey
  • 4 sprigs thyme

Instructions

  • Follow the package instructions for thawing the puff pastry sheets. Roll out the dougha little to flatten it. Using a 2-inch circle cookie or biscuit cutter (or the rim of a small glass), cut rounds out of the dough.

  • Transfer the cut pastry rounds to parchment-lined baking sheets and then gently press your thumb into the center of each one.

  • Place 1 teaspoonof goat cheese in the indentation of each round. Bake at 400°F until the pastry is flaky and golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.

  • When the baking sheet comes out of the oven, wait 2minutes, then drizzle each piece with honey and garnish with a pinch of chopped fresh thyme. Enjoy!
