How do I play or updatethe game?[]

Can I play it on MAC?[]

Can I play it on mobile?[]

These questions are all answered in: Getting Started

My game is lagging![]

try reducing window size in the options. The pre-loaded version download includes "Alternate Launcher.exe", which can improve performance greatly on some systems. You can also change the fused sprite icons to DNA symbols in the options to stop lag when opening your Pokémon screen.

the game is really fast! / is there Turbo?[]

The default keybinding is 'Q', and there are three different speeds to cycle through.

How can I back up my save?[]

There is a shortcut in the installation folder of the game that should take you to your saves, which are found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\infinitefusion.

How can I randomize the game?[]

See Randomized Mode.

These sprites are ugly, can I replace them?[]

Yes, seeCustom Sprites.

Are the PBS files of this game available?[]

No.

How do I change the controls?[]

you can press f1 (or fn+f1 on some devices) to open a controls menu. Read below for more information on setting controls.

Why is A not doing anything?[]

The letters in the config menu (accessed by pressing f1) do not represent controller buttons. C is confirm, B is both cancel and menu. A lets you move backpack items. Z brings up the quick menu for registered backpack items. L activates turbo. X and Y bring you to the top and bottom of menus respectively.

I can't join the Discord![]

Captcha bot has been reported to not work on mobile devices. Try opening the link on a different device. Discord bans can be appealed using this form.

Common and/or known bugs[]

1.: General tip: Save often and/or turn on autosave in the options or at the start of the game. Backup your save occasionally. You can also use a script made by one of our discord members to automatically make a backup of your save (onlyon startup). Link(You have to be logged in on the Browser Client or Desktop Client and a member of our discord to see the message.)

2.: I have 'x' (ingame) problem, what do I do? If possible talk to the man in black on the second floor of Pokémon Centers (except Pewter) and choose the "Fix game" option. This is a good first thing to try, like restarting your PC.

3.: Mygame crashed, what do I do? If possible make a screenshot of the error message (alt+printscreen) and post (ctrl+v) it into the #tech-support channel in the Infinite Fusion Discord. Tell us what happened before it crashed. (Location, Moves used, NPC's you interacted with, etc.)

4.: The game crashes on startup after briefly showing a black screen:Add the game as an exception to the Data Execution Prevention - DEP:

Open Start Menu or Control Panel.Search for 'Advanced System Settings'. It can also be found under'System' in the Control Panel.A new window should have opened, press the tab on the top that says 'Advanced'. The first option should say 'Performance', click 'Settings'. This should open another new window, click the tab at the top of this new window that says 'Data Execution Prevention'. You should see an option named 'Add...' below a large box. Click it, then navigate to the Infinite Fusion folder, once inside single click on the application that begins the game (Game.exe), then press open. Press apply or OK at the bottom of the window, and restart/start up the game.

5.: "Script is taking too long, the game will restart."Usually comes from bad performance. Try closing other Windows or Background Processes to improve game performance. Running the game through WINE might trigger this error as well.

6.: Controls are faulty, can't open the menu:Check your 'C:\Users\"YourName"\Saved Games' directory. If there is a 'game.rxdata' file in it, move, delete or rename it and try again (BE AWARE IT MIGHT BE A SAVE FROM ANOTHER RPG MAKER GAME).

7.: Getting stuck:Use the „Debugger“ (Basic Items). If you don't have one talk to the guy in black on the top floor of any Pokémon Center.

8.: The ground is a black void:The game is loading incomplete tilesets. This is usually due to applying a patch on a version that was not compatible. Redownload the full game.

9.: Trainer/Gym Leader Pokémon having incredibly high levels (randomized only):Rerandomize Trainers/Gyms.

10.: Crash on the first battle:It is likely, that you replaced the 'graphics' folder of the base game when extractingthe patch, instead of merging them. See if this problem persists, whenyou launch the base game, without a patch installed.

11.: Crash on Wild Encounters:(This bug is fixed, if you still encounter it, you might be playing an older version.) Rerandomize your wild encounters by talking to the the guy in black on the top floor of any Pokémon Center. If it keeps happening also turn off the "Randomize wild encounters into fusions" option.

12.: "RGSS player has stopped working": Try this.

13.: Audio issues or error messages displaying missing audio drivers: Either update audiodrivers or un- and replug your audio (output) device.

14.: I used the Trainer Houseand now my Pokémon's stats are broken:Not permanent. Will correct itself after any stat change or battle.

15.: Lightscreen spits out errors (usually encountered in the Celadon sewers):(This bug is fixed, if you still encounter it, you might be playing an older version.)Stops enemies from attacking, but otherwise harmless.

16.: Surfing on land:Harmless.

17.: Unfusing a Pokémon that was obtained fused only registers the body in the Pokédex, not the head: To register both bases of a Pokémon that was obtained fused, you will need to unfuse the original Pokémon, create the reverse fusion, and then unfuse the reverse fusion.

Game Mechanics[]

1.: How does fusing work? Why is my fusion reversed? Why can't I choose 'x' ability?Everything you need to know about fusing mechanics is compiled in 'Pokémon Fusion' or in the #fusion_faq channel on our discord.

2.: What Generation is this game based on?in versions 4.9 and below, It is based on Generation 5, mostly BW2.This includes movepools, stats, various in/out of combat mechanics and type weaknesses/resistances. The Fairy type was added and behaves the same as in the modern games. In version 5.0 and above, the game was updated to use Generation 7 movesets and battle mechanics.

3.: What Pokémon are in the game and where do I find them? All of generation 1 and 2 are obtainable in the game as well as their cross-generation evolutions. There are also 100additional Pokémon from generations 3 to 6. You can find a list of the additional Pokémon here or on the Google Drive.

Every Pokémon can be obtained at least once, per regular (non-randomized) playthrough. Either through wild encounters, static encounters or trade & gift encounters. (Tips for navigating the wild encounter file: F3 to search for Pokémon/Locations; Name/Min-level/Max-level/Encounter%.)

4.: Are there any changed evolutions methods? Yes, you can find themhereor on the Google Drive.

5.: What about trade evolutions?See above. They will not require any hold items.

6.: Is there afaster way to gain happiness? Tipping clowns in Pokémon Centers. A tip of 100$ or more will add 5 happiness to your whole party.

Progression[]

1.: I lost track of my Quests, is there a questlog?Unfortunately no, but you can check out thispage.

2.: ANPC told me to catch all 470 base Pokémon, what do I get from it? Debug Mode, which basically allows you to cheat (adding Pokémon/Items etc.).

3.: What do I do in the Sewers?Step on the logs to make them fall.

4.: What do I do on Cinnabar?Check out the Lab in the southwest.

5.: Where do you go after Cinnabar?Viridian City.

6.: How do I get to Johto?Get the Train Pass in the Bar in Saffron City (west) then proceed to the Train Station in the northernpart of the city.

7.: How do I get further than Goldenrod? The rest of Johto is considered Postgame and is therefore only available after beating the Pokémon League.

8.: How do I get to Mt.Silver?Obtain all 16 badges, then proceed to the entrance near Victory Road (south entrance).

9.: How can I hit Morty's Weainja? Weainja is a Dark/Ghost Pokémon that has the ability Wonder Guard meaning it can only be hit by super-effective moves. You must use a Fairy-type move or a status move to beat it.

10.: I can't get to Ecruteak City or past Blackthorn City.Update the game to version 4.5 or higher.

11.: How do I get to Olivine City? You cannot. The western part of Johto does not exist in the game. The Gym Leaders from Olivine City and Cyanwood are found on the Sevii Islands.

12.: Any plans for the future? The rest of Johto? More Pokémon? There will be updates in the future, albeit very slowly and the game is considered finished in many aspects. Especially in terms of Pokémon as the RPG Maker Engine unfortunately can not handle any more Pokémon without compromising performance.

Items[]

As a general tip, speaking to NPC's will ensure you don't miss any important items. Some items can only be obtained by doing Sidequests.

1.: Where do I find the Exp.Share/All? Exp.Share in Cerulean CIty's Pokémon Center from a girl in a Lab coat. Exp.All from an NPC in the Gate between Fuchsia and Route 15.

2.: Where do I find the Lucky Egg? A hotel quest in Fuchsia City.

3.: Where do I find "x" TM/HM?You can find a list of all the TMs available and move tutors along with their locations on this pageor the Google Drive .

4.: How do Pokémon specific held items work?Lightball, Thick club, etc. work on a fusion regardless if the pokemon is head or body. Please notice that Eviolite was nerfed to 25% stat boost forbalancing reasons.
