19 gallon Electric Whirlpool water heater Model #e1f20us015v - Purchased this water heater from Lowes to provide hot water to small apartment with no kitchen for my son, built in my garage. Had unit professionally installed within 1 foot of bath to provide hot water for shower and sink in bath only. Hot water lasts only 5 to 6 minutes and takes approx. 2 hours to recover. My son cannot even take a normal shower! ntacted Lowes who was unable to help and told me to contact Whirlpool. Contacted Whirlpool after my model number would not even come up on their website. I asked tech what was the normal expected amount of time before hot water depleted. She did not know. I asked what was the normal recovery rate. She did not know. I asked for information on the energy rating. She said there was no information available. I asked how I could receive a refund. She said that they could only send a plumber to check unit and that nothing would be done if it was heating water. I asked to speak with a supervisor. She said none were available and said one would call me. I never received a return call. VERY DISSATISFIED with Whirlpool on this issue. It appears my only recourse is to purchase a new water heater and scrap the present one.

Purchased our Whirlpool Gold Oven in October of 2013 from Best Buy. The oven works fine, but using the oven to make pizza on March 30th of 2014, a fire started in the drawer under the oven. The oven was set at 400 degrees. Several oven mitts were stacked in the drawer. There was no major damage done to the range, other than a bit of discoloration to the white trim, but we will never put anything in the drawer under the oven and would advise others to do the same.

To expect less is to fall for the consumer cave in - where you just give up, give in and buy another. The Whirlpool tech just told the appliance repair guy that was here that the repair would involve a recirculating water pump and a bearing, and would cost $481 to repair. The appliance repairman said he is not in business to condemn appliances, but said he has a Kenmore top loader at his house. Simple, no electronics and less things to go wrong. Well after researching brands and reading reports, I thought I was buying a machine that would last at least as long as my second hand Maytag. Whirlpool has not heard the end of me. I have heard several other people say the same thing. Repair bills are huge and machines do not hold up. So much for buying quality. Now Im going to contact the MA attorney general for the states implied warranty, which means if you spend your money on any appliance, that appliance has an expected lifetime of service. A $1,000+ machine is not expected to fall apart after a few years.

I am writing due to the defects and flaws in my recently purchased appliances. I chose Whirlpool believing I was buying the highest quality for longevity purposes. Every appliance I own is Whirlpool or Maytag - same company. I purchased warranties and was told the warranties dont cover my issues and was basically brushed off. I am infuriated. Here is a list of complaints. Refrigerator is cracking on the inside on the inner door and at the bottom. These cracks surfaced within the first year of purchase. The warranty does not cover cracks in the inner body.The oven/range has an exhaust that bellows out of the top of the range in a way that the smoke curls up onto the panel and discolors it. I have never had an oven constructed with an exhaust pipe in the front that pours smoke onto the range itself and into your house. The dishwasher paint has rusted off on the door as have the screws on the inside of the door. The cover panel on the cleaning dispenser of the washer has popped off and cannot be popped back on, hence the guts of the dispenser are always visible and when I go to load the cleansers the front has to pulled out from inside the dispense.The refrigerator is also leaking from the bottom and the ice-maker no longer produces ice. This started off and on for the past 2 years. At first I thought the leak was from a near by window. No it is the refrigerator. All of these appliances were purchased in 2013, 14 and 15. New. I am 56. I have never had issues like this ever in my life growing up or as an adult. Appliances lasted forever. I am one person. How much damage could I do? None.These are flaws in chemical compounding of the paints and materials for cracks and rust. Whirlpool was called various times and was not interested in sending a rep to verify my claims. They said all of my warranties did not cover such issues only motors. Lots of many spent in vain. I will not purchase Whirlpool again as they seem disinterested in customer satisfaction.

Yesterday I put my clothes in the machine and left it to wash it. When I went to get my clothes, water was all over the place in the basem*nt and the machine was beeping and reading code LF. I turn off the machine and turned on back. Water started to fill and then suddenly water started to coming from the bottom of the machine. I removed the bottom panel and I could see the water was coming very fast from the bottom of the basket (the drum shape). I called the private company to repair it and waiting to find out.

Whirlpool/Ikea Renlig dishwasher - Since installing this integrated dishwasher it has continuously destroyed the decorative panel door. On my model (they have recently changed in 2014) the steam exits at the top, this damages whatever it comes into contact with it. Today they are saying that it has not been installed correctly and that it should actually sit out from the countertop, i.e. jut out from the rest of the kitchen so that the steam can vent into the room. The panel should also be lower than the other doors of the kitchen cabinetry too. Hardly integrated and would be a bloody eyesore. I am about to call them back again and inform them that I will be making a scene about this in my local Ikea and with anyone else who cares to listen.

Finally, I called them to be informed on the bug problem. They canceled my warranty with no refund given. Now this will be the 3rd time I have to buy. The starter/overload relay fridge is only 4 years old (out of my pocket). I was told by a parts company this problem the company knows about and will not resolve. My advice is RUN, DONT WALK, away from ALL Whirlpool appliances.

Aqualift self clean oven??? I followed the directions on how to clean my oven. I wiped and scraped out spilled residue from the oven. Then started the cleaning process. The sides of the oven were not cleaned even when I wiped them with a damp cloth. Scrubbing and scraping with the tools that came with the oven helped somewhat. The bottom of the oven was not cleaned. I had to continually scrub and scrape to get it looking half clean and even then, there were still spots that would not clean away. I would have preferred an oven that uses oven cleaner, it gets the oven much cleaner and with less scrubbing on my part. All in all I am very dissatisfied with the oven and would never recommend it.

They cannot connect you to a supervisor, you just continue to wait on hold. They cannot give an eta for the part that has supposedly been in production since before Thanksgiving. I get told one thing, then when I call back for an update 2 weeks later that person has no idea what Im talking about. I will tell you one thing, if you do not want a headache, I suggest you buy another product!! I can guarantee, I will let everyone I know and never purchase Whirlpool again if this is not resolved this week! After doing my research, this part should be recalled. It is a Whirlpool 50-Gal water heater (6th sense) and was going to have it installed by their installer, but elected after seeing it was very similar to lining up with my old unit. I got it in and then filled it. After filling, I lit the pilot light per the instructions then turned the knob for heating it up. Success, the flame spread across the burners...then went out. The steady blink changed to the 2 blink code indicating a bad thermopile. It did not work - right out of the box. No plumber near me carries the part. Whirlpool has thus been pretty good about it offering to have someone come out at their cost... But if no one has the parts, that is no good. I am moving from this house so if we can get it to work, its the problem for the next owner. If not - Ill have to get an RMA and go back to Lowes... Then try the Rheem from Home Depot. Will see if they will overnight a part tomorrow. I found the other reviews - and I dont like it that this thing appears to have difficulty right out of the box.

I have a 2yr extended warranty which states if they cannot fix my fridge after 3 attempts then they have to replace it. They refuse to honor that. Whirlpool and Lowes are full of crap!!! They sent me a survey asking how do I like my product and I informed them of my issues and they sent me a response to purchase an extended warranty. Now, if they really reviewed the surveys, they would see that I have an extended warranty for 2yrs but regardless of that what about the issues Im having with my fridge? Do you not see my comments? The computer box on the top has been replaced twice each time leaving my garage flooded. This time the water is running from the thermostat box again the garage is flooded. I called for service and the representative was very nice and understanding. He gave us the information to pick up a replacement heater. The complaint is the mess that it made. I have already filed a previous claim with my homeowners insurance for the damage. I would like to know why I have to file repeated claims with the risk of losing my homeowners insurance because of the repeated damage caused by Whirlpools obvious defective water heater? I would appreciate some resolution from Whirlpool for the damage this water heater has caused. The replacement heater is fine but I would ask that the to company consider some compensation of the water damage this heater has caused again.

Dryer has multiple cycles. Perfect for the whole family. My last Whirlpool set last me over ten years, wanted that same quality level in my new purchase. I wanted a quality machine. I was very familiar with the Whirlpool brand and knew that was going to be my first choice in a brand. These were full size. The tub is large enough to hold a king size comforter and wash it without destroying it. The dryer has a separate attachment for pillows and shoes (sneaker plus) and was competitively priced at the time of purchase.

When I first bought this machine I loved the big tub, but I was concerned that there was no agitator. It confuses me how clothes can get clean if there is nothing to rub them again. Even in the olden days they rub clothes against a board. Well my concern is valid and I believe the washing machine industry needs to go back to the old model, as this new version does not work.Here are all the problems: 1) The machine judges how much water to put in. This doesnt work. I follow the directions and outline the perimeter and dont overload, yet still it just barely puts in enough water to make the clothes wet. Im all for conserving the environment, but enough water needs to be provided to actually get the clothes clean. I would like to be the judge of how much water should be used, so I would like to be able to tell the machine if it is a small, medium or large load. I do believe that the lack of enough water is why the clothes do not come out as clean as they should and why they end up smelling (see #4). 2) There is no agitator, so there is really nothing available to help clean the clothes. Spinning them around like a maniac is not enough, which leads me to the next problem. 3) The clothes come out twisted terribly and then many times come out of the dryer wrinkled because of how hard they were twisted. I tried to select a less harsh spin cycle, but then the clothes are too wet to put in the dryer. There is no happy medium.4) Biggest problem to date: Our clothes/towels have all started smelling. You know that smell when you leave your clothes in the washer too long (like two days) and then put them in the dryer? Its that smell. The clothes/towels dont smell when you immediately take them out, but they do smell at any bit of moisture. When I dry myself off after the shower, I notice the newly washed bath towel smells like a wet dog. I have used the pods, liquid detergent and powder. I dont remember having the smell problem when I first bought the machine and used powder, so I just returned to using powder today. (Ive even tried doubling up on the pods, but the clothes still smell.)This leads me to problem number 5: When using powder in this machine, the machine does not empty the powder container completely, and so the clothes do not get the required amount of detergent. Often there are clumps left over in the powder dispenser, but not always. (This is what led me to go to the pods and liquid detergent in the first place.) But at least with powder (I use Gain) my towels dont stink after the first time I used them.I wouldnt recommend this machine. I really researched machines before I purchased this one, but they all had bad reviews, so how do you pick? And I never look at the good reviews because we all know so many people are paid to rave about products they know nothing about, or it is a company employee writing the review. This machine is a huge disappointment. I am going to try adding a rinse cycle like a previous reviewer suggested. Maybe the extra water will help with the smell. Of course this is not good for the environment though, so this whole way of making washing machines with no agitator and limiting water defeats the energy efficient goal.

Whole has a week to wait with no hot water, $35 for expedited shipping (which took 2 days), $175 for the plumber (authorized by Lowes (1star also) for installs). 2 days later the unit is cold again... Plumber comes back, plays with wiring and gets it fired up again. Says if there is a problem again to refer the techs to the plumbers office for new tank. Well now Whirlpool says they will only take the word of their own plumber AUTHORIZED HEATING 24 hours wait for a service call. You will be the 1st job Wednesday morning. Wednesday 930 call from AH we are backed up. Hope to be there between 1 and 4 pm. How did you get backed up if I was 1st job? Never again will I buy Whirlpool and nothing from Lowes as well. Still no hot water day 3 second time in 2 months.

I got someone here to repair it, and it was 7 days over the 1 year warranty. I don’t think this is fair when they sent the repair guy out too late when I scheduled this right before the 1 year was up. I came about looking this up online, and I find I’m not the only one with a 1 year lid. My next washer will be a 1980s built to last. This was the worst $1,100 I ever spent. I had to choose 1 star. The washer itself is fine, but oh the cheap moulded plastic parts, utensil basket, water arms etc, so poorly made. Its amazing that a company would use such poor quality and design to save what can be a few cents on the overall product, personally I was disgusted at the cheap crappy plastic bits.

Two of them failed this weekend (one 40-gallon and one 50-gallon). I called the 800 number and have to pay $63.50 for parts for the 40-gallon and was given a PO number to pick up parts for the 50-gallon at Lowes. They do not have the parts. I have spent over $250,000 at Lowes since 2000. I have all Whirlpool appliances in rentals and my own home. The discussion I had at two Lowes stores today really showed me how they take care of their customers. I told both stores that I will never buy the Whirlpool brand again!

The repairman said he would try to stop the leak and it worked for a couple more months. The refrigerator was obviously irreparable and we should have had it replaced by Whirlpool at this point. Now, that it broke again (stopped cooling and freezing) the repair service is giving us the runaround. Its over a week and they wanted us to call a repair service and they would reimburse them. The repair service and Whirlwind know about this problem, but refuse to acknowledge it and are getting away with it. With all the comments Im reading here, there should definitely be a recall. Id like to know what it takes to have one authorized.

Although the certified repairman says that the issue with the thermostat is a known issue and the company created a whole new part to fix the problem, there is no recall. Customer service was lousy. They deny any know issue (again, they created a new part they will sell us to fix the issue) and they mocked us for not buying their warranty after having the first problems with their fridge. This new problem will cost over $300 to fix. Why is there no recall if they knew about the issue?

It has to be the worst dishwashers I have ever had and we have used them for forty years. Its loud. It won’t dry the dishes, and unless you wash I dont mean rinse, most of dishes are not clean, and that is with the recommended detergent. Whatever you do I would suggest not buying this dishwasher. I dont even know why they would offer a machine such as this.

Whirlpool will NEVER SEE ANOTHER penny of my money. Time to look at real appliance makers. Horrible.

Checking to see if we even can get you service in your area, representative says.About a week later tech comes and puts two parts in and left. Happy to get laundry going but, guess what??? We contacted the service center and it was taking too long to have a visit from a technician. Then the technician, who also installed the unit came and checked the unit. He called someone from corporate office or from support team to ask what is error code Ed1 and overheard over the phone that this is a known issue on the brand. The technician said it is possible that unit will be replaced or only the motor. I contacted the brand support thru Messenger and requested to have the unit replaced, because again, the unit is not over 1mo old.I was advised it is not possible as replacement of unit is only applicable when the issue happened within seven days of delivery. STUPID ISNT? Policy is something unworthy for a product that is over 30k. And again, unit started to malfunction not over a month after it was first used. I would say we pretty much took care of the unit, we only use it twice a week. Placed it where it was perfect to put. Followed every advice given to us by the technician who installed it but still, it malfunctioned a few weeks after we started to use it. I am ashamed of the brand itself, we should have chosen Panasonic or Samsung instead not a dumb brand like Whirlpool. I certainly do not recommend the brand for a washing machine unit. What a mistake as the washer shook every time it ran. After several warranty service calls and days of vacation waiting for the service, they finally said they couldnt do anything. During that time I had been in contact with Whirlpool and asked for them to take them back. Of course they wouldnt. I asked for a swap for top load washer and they would need to also replace the dryer to match: still no deal. It took a letter from a lawyer to make it happen. They also bought back the washer and dryer stands which covered the lawyers costs.So shortly after I received the Cabrio washer and matching dryer, the lid is very heavy which I believe the lid spring broke. I refused to call the service company as I did not want to go thru that crap again. I also know I can fix it myself easier and without all the drama. I keep waiting for another failure but so far all is acceptable. Whirlpool is not the same company as they were when I made my living doing warranty service for Whirlpool! 30 years ago they were the best in the industry.The Maytag pair was giving to our relative and they are still working flawlessly. I called the Whirlpool certified A&E serviceman to repair the dispenser. He concluded that the water line is frozen inside the door. He also stated that such issues with the door shouldnt happen for at least 10 years. He gave me a bill of $920 to replace the door. I called Whirlpool and they declined to pay for the repair as it is out of warranty. I feel that they sold me a faulty refrigerator and they should pay for this expensive repair. With $920, I can probably pay for a new refrigerator (not Whirlpool, of course). I am completely disappointed by Whirlpools customer service and poor quality of their product. This company, I believe, is more interested in selling crappy products, make profit and not provide good customer service. Shame on you!

We relied on consumer reports as the primary source for a recommendation on this washer. Just under two years old, it started making a noise, which suddenly went away. Then one day the machine would not spin and drain, and we could not decipher the error code into anything useful. I turned the machine over to find that the drive belt was half-on/half off the pulley on the drive motor. This caused the belt to ride against the belt guard and wear right through it. I removed the belt and determined that the cause of the problem was that the large pulley on the drum was loose. For some reason the nut which holds that pulley on was slightly loose, causing the pulley to wobble. Not sure why they didnt use some Loctite on that nut. I put everything back together and tightened the nut. No problems and I checked it a month later, everything was still good. Fast forward to last week, when the machine was not yet 3 years old. Same thing, washer would not spin and drain. Tipped machine over to find that the belt had fallen off, the drum pulley was again loose. But this time the belt had damaged the pulley on the motor. I figured, no problem, just order a new pulley. Well you can buy just the pulley on the drum, but the pulley on the motor is part of the motor, it cannot be ordered by itself. The cheapest I could find the motor online was $250. We decided to cut our losses and buy a new machine. We will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance (or anyone elses by the same manufacturer, i.e. Maytag). Our last Kenmore washer lasted 23 years. Oh but it had an agitator and wasnt listed as HE (High Efficiency), so I suppose the environmentalists would get the dry heaves thinking about the impact of that washer on the environment. But it was useful for 23 years. Now this High Efficiency Whirlpool is headed for the recycling pile. Sorry, I think this hurts the environment more than an appliance which just works year after year. Yep, they took a design that worked and now we have energy/water efficient washers that dont last very long and are so expensive to repair that the solution is to just buy a new one.

Beginning of year 3 the basket came loose, the machine wouldnt spin the water out of the clothes completely and then it quit cycling into the next cycle, ie, the tub filled up with water for the wash cycle but then would not begin agitating. The water sat in the tub until the wash cycle was done and then would drain but would not spin. Each cycle had to be manually started by pressing the pause button, raising the washer lid, and then pressing the pause button again. I called a repair person who ran a diagnostic on the machine and said it needed a new pump, new motherboard again and something else to make it spin properly. Sorry I dont remember what the something is. The estimate to repair was approximately $759 so I am now shopping for a new machine thats not a Whirlpool.

Also purchased at Lowes was a Utilitech universal gas water heater installation kit. The nipples provided in the kit screwed very loosely into cold water inlet and hot water outlet. I used teflon tape and finished the installation. When I turned the water on both fittings leaked. I couldnt tighten the nipples any further so I shut the water off and drained the tank a bit and reinstalled the nipples with at least 8-9 wraps of teflon tape. Im not sure if that is normal or if nipples were under size or if the cold water inlet and hot water outlet were larger dia. than normal. FYI.

Thankfully, it was covered by warranty. Whirlpool knew then and there that these things were lemons. The repairman told me he couldnt keep up with fixing that issue. I have since had to replace the motherboard on the washer at a cost of $359, and the idler pulley on the dryer at $221; not to mention the metal catch on the dryer broke. I ordered a plastic one on eBay. I will never buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live! They make junk!

I noticed then that there were some burnt grease spots and streaks between the oven glass door. After 2 years of use, it has gotten much worse so I decided to take the door apart to try to clean the glass in between the layers of glass but there are three instead of two. I cleaned the inside of the outer glass, but that didnt take care of the problem. Most of the stains are between the other two panes of glass. That, I cant get to. I feel that this is poor design and not sealed properly. I take good care of everything I own and I expected this range to last me the rest of my life but it is put together with cheap plastic parts that wont last long. It is the first new range that I ever owned and paid a lot more for it than any Ive had. I expected better.

I was again told that the next available service call was 2 weeks out.Now, the day before the service call, I receive a phone call from A&E, telling me that they have to reschedule the service call that is supposed to be for tomorrow. Once again, the earliest next available appointment is another week out.If it was now not past the original 30 days to be able to return the item to Lowes, I would have already done that. By the time the first A&E service call happened, it was already past the 30 days in which I could have returned it to Lowes.I will never purchase Whirlpool again simply because they use A&E service center.

There is NO ventilation behind the electronic control so when the oven heats up, the control board gets too hot and throws the F2 code. That would indicate a bad temp sensor or bad board, but really its the heat shield on the back. Ive removed the metal plate from behind the control panel and it works fine now. Im considering drilling some vent holes and adding some insulation behind the control.

The powder coating came off. Called the company. They replaced burner caps. Last week there was a spill and it stained the burner bases which are powder coated in a silver color. We tried 409 cleaner, Windex, dish detergent with a sponge. Could NOT get the stain out started removing powder coating. Called the company they ONLY guarantee cosmetic appearance 30 days. They wanted $139.00 for a new set of burner bases. I am going to go back to Lowes & see if we can return this Whirlpool range.

The service tech has been to my house 12 times over the last 9 months. They have replaced multiple parts and even started replacing parts a second time. I was instructed by the service tech to call and request a replacement fridge. Whirlpool customer service told me that it would have to be considered a lemon before they replaced the product. I was told that would require each component to be replaced 3 times. I would need to take off work 27 more times for the repairs!!! The service tech came out one more time and he said there was nothing else he could do. I called again to complain and even wrote to Whirlpool corporation (though they never called me back at my request). After much complaining, which I do not normally do, they have decided to replace the unit. BUT I have to pay and additional $476.29 for them to replace this unit!!! I feel like I was totally raked over the coals from this company. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again and I recommend you do not either.

Anyway, I had hot water.Nearly a year later now to the day and again I have no hot water. This time the pilot burns very weakly when I try to light it and then goes out. After three attempts I get 7 flashes on the LED - Gas Control Valve Failure, part of the same unit I replaced a year ago. Am calling tomorrow since its too late to go through any tech support steps over the phone that Im reading about on this site and seeing on Youtube. Honestly, I didnt replace the last heater because I had nothing better to do than replace parts on this one annually. Had a Whirlpool service person look at it and told me that the cost is $110 plus $45. I said that is fine. They scheduled another appointment but I received a call 12 minutes before the time expired (as you know they say in the afternoon and no exact time and they said between 2 and 4:30) and the guy asked me what is wrong with the fridge. I told him that someone took a look at it a week prior but I had to go through the whole thing. Then he said that they dont have the part and I have to wait for a week. This was a Saturday before Xmas and waited all afternoon to be told that was very upsetting. Any how I called customer service and spoke with a Michelle. She said she is going to try and find out if she can waive the additional service fee, arrange the time and will comp the parts (around $15). After 45 minutes on the phone I had to jump off for a business call so Michelle said she will email me and I gave her my email.Few hours passed and no email. When I called back the idiot that answered the phone kept saying that the warranty is out and I need to call another number so I asked for a supervisor. I was on hold for 11 minutes then I was hung up on. I called again and asked for a supervisor. Spoke with Benjamin (Opt# **), he said that Michelle notes did not state anything about help in possibly waiving anything and that I refused the parts. I was furious. What a LIE. Long story short he said they cant waive anything and I should call the scheduling number for any help. I asked to speak to Michelle and guess what the answer was... SHE IS BUSY. What the hell. The service is well below zero as well as the quality of the product. I am going to send a letter to the office of President (Jeff Fettig) Whirlpool Corp. 2000 North M-63, Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022-2692. It is so sad when corporation are so big that little people who buy their products dont mean much to them.

I contacted Whirlpool and was referred for a repair. The repair man told me these newer machines need the Affresh product to clean out the machine so this doesnt happen. I bought the Affresh product and there is still a problem. Every load of wash has to be put back in for another rinse cycle, sometimes two rinse cycles. Its ironic because the cover of the booklet for the machine says low-water washer which was the selling point to buying this machine. Instead of using less water, Im using DOUBLE the water.

The areas of improvement that needs to be implemented is the inter glass that is installed at the front looking into the oven. In order to clean you have to take the front door off which is very difficult to put back together.

I had bought from S C Shah & Co, Mylapore a Whirlpool ac 1 ton split magicool dlx cop in March 2016 and installed in March 29 2016 by Cool Control System, kodambakkam From the installation period we had a cooling issue and informed Shah & Co, Mylapore where we bought the ac. They came and checked and informed Whirlpool customer care. Within two months i.e. in May 2016 of installation Whirlpool again uploaded/charged the gas (the service engineers told us this is due to hot summer). Though again we had a cooling issue, we were under the impression as this is due to summer as explained by the technician. After that rainy season came and we didnt use the ac.As we are in December when we complained Whirlpool they said this is due to the copper wire gas is leaking and it has to be replaced and informed that though under WARRANTY, the customer has to pay for replacement (we have used only the 3 mtr copper wire which came with the ac only. we have not used any our own copper wire). Whether WHIRLPOOL GIVES SUCH A QUALITY COPPER WIRE which has to be replaced within 9 months. Now they are informing that you are calling us after 6 months of gas charging, so we cannot service. If you could have called within 3 months we could have serviced you. BUT WE ARE UNDER WARRANTY. NOT EVEN AN YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.Not responding to calls, disconnecting to the calls even if we call their Delhi number 011-49308500. Though under warranty they are not ready to do service and very rude saying, we cant do anything. So, if we buy WHIRLPOOL ac we have to beg them even for their technicians to visit our place. Or we have to do our own service EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. Their local toll free customer care numbers/service executives always give a recorded message saying they cannot service. Hot water heater model #0833T402747 purchased late 2008 - Several service calls had to be made to a plumber, due to this unit not working. The door assembly was shipped to me by Whirlpool. I had to pay again for the plumber to install this part. Hes been here 3-4 times since I bought the unit. Last Wednesday, May 2, 2012, no hot water again. The same plumber came out and said the door assembly had again gone bad. Whirlpool was contacted on Thursday morning and would not agree to do anything. They were given my plumbers name and number and I never heard back from them. I contacted Lowes in Acworth, GA and they agreed to replace the hot water heater. So now Im forced to pay for another install. I requested that Whirlpool pay this expense, and their representative, **, said no. I intend to sue them for all monies spent on this lemon and due to this lemon, I will never buy another Whirlpool product of any kind. I have told family and friends and theyve agreed that due to the bad product and worse customer service, they will also stay away from purchasing anything made by this company. Whirlpool certainly wont be hurt by me and me alone. But Ill make sure that anyone I run into at Lowes or anywhere else is even looking at a Whirlpool product will get an earful from me. This is the type of customer service that consumers dont have to put up with anymore. There are many resources on the internet to get the word out and I intend to spend a great deal of my time doing just that.

Sat for 3 months in the box while my kitchen was being built. 7/14 pump motor went out, called Whirlpool, they set me up with an appliance repair company, and I ended up paying $90. The technician was being nice, charging me less than he needed to since he said it was an easy fix. 1/26/2015 pump motor went out again. Called Whirlpool again. Lady on phone was very snooty with me, telling me it was out of warranty. Told them I was very dissatisfied, my dishwasher has broken 2x in 18 months and all she said was, I should have bought the extended warranty. Dishwasher is not even 2 years old and already needs to be fixed 2x. The most expensive part on the machine I may add. Going my average, I can keep dumping $130 every 9 months to have a working dishwasher by Whirlpool. I would understand if the thing broke after 2 or 3 years. I only run the thing 2 or 3x a week at the most.

Customer service does nothing to help and when we called Monday about a replacement part they told us they could no longer sell parts for that specific heater due to it being in a double wide. I contacted several more people and found out that heater was fine; all we needed was the part. The customer service woman was very rude and not willing to help at all. I told them we don’t have the money to keep replacing their piece of **. I ended up having to order yet again another part that was just replaced 2 months ago from Lowes. So after being with no hot water since Monday, now on Friday it is fixed, I wonder for how long. We do not recommend Whirlpool for nothing and will never buy a piece of ** from them anymore. We have a Whirlpool refrigerator that is causing us problems. I hope to soon get different brands in here to replace what Whirlpool can’t seem to make accurate.

My Cabrio washing machine is 3 years old, and is working the way it has been designed to work. It does not clean clothes and it consistently has a foul odor. Due to the odor, I must use the cleaning cycle with Affresh (pricey product) 3-4 times weekly. Even that is insufficient. Because it is in an indoor laundry area, the odor permeates the hallway and nearby bedrooms. The extra cleaning cycles are contrary to the energy efficiency of the washer, and detrimental to the severe drought conditions in California. When I contacted Whirlpool about my situation, they recommended I substitute bleach for the Affresh to keep the cost down.

I bought a new Whirlpool gas hot water 40 gal tank from Lowes. I Installed it, but the pilot light would not light. So Cal Gas Co came out and said they did not like the new design, but that was how they were now making them. Gas is shot out from a pipe into the tank, however its fairly open. The pilot ignitor is similar to the one on barbarques that often do not last. You cannot get to it to light it manually. Several calls were made to Whirlpool and they sent a repair man out to fix it. You can imagine buying a new hot water heater and having it work part time. The repair man explained that the unit needed a new thermopile, but he could not put one on until whirlpool authorized it, which they would not. After a rather heated conversation with whirlpool they agreed to FedEx a part overnight. Of course the repairman could not wait for me to call and had to come back again. The pilot light still does not stay lit, and Whirlpool now wants to talk about how the tank is vented. This has nothing to do with the pilot light, nor did putting in a new 1/2 gas line and valve as per Whirlpools request. Whirlpool has a problem and they refuse to acknowledge it. However, it is Lowes that chose to buy from whirlpool and they do little if anything to stand behind their product and gain consumer confidence. My suggestion would be dont buy whirlpool, and shop at Home Depot.

A few months ago, the damper door in our refrigerator broke causing food in the refrigerator to freeze. Just the other day my Whirlpool dishwasher stopped draining properly. Both instances a repairman was needed and were now out over $400 for repairs and parts. I would definitely not recommend purchasing any Whirlpool appliances and I am deeply frustrated that Im having to deal with these repairs and costs for appliances less than 2 years old.

No matter what settings my clothes are on and no matter how little I place to be washed the clothes still arent getting clean. Way too little water in the tub. All my get so twisted. We bought this on sale but we're really glad we did. I was surprised how quiet it was while cleaning the dishes, insulation I guess makes it quiet. The wife also uses Cascade liquid dishwashing soap which seems to get the dishes really clean. Rinsing before we stick them in probably doesn't hurt, but overall, we are very pleased. The dishwasher has an adjustable rack which we've only used a few times and the start is easy enough for me to even figure out, sorry guys, but yes I do the dishes sometimes. Hope this helps. My Whirlpool Cabrio cannot wash sheets, blankets or any of this size. It balls up in the middle and form a bubble and only part of the items is washed and washing powders are trapped. I have purchased more sheets in the past 4 years than I have in the past 45 years of doing laundry, because the washing powders are not washed out. I wash on second rinse also, never fails and it still does not get all of it out. The clothing gets off balance if it was more than 3 small items. I have a leveling tool that I put on it often to make sure it is level. It’s something within the machine. I will never, never, never purchase any more Sears’ product. If anyone has jury-rigged this machine to work, please let me know. Sears has refused to help me, even today.

Informed that was the owners responsibility, not the store (Feidens in Latham). Always had good luck with them, bought all my appliances from them. Now I heard a loud bang and she threw up - water everywhere. What a mess.Had purchased special patio block at Home Depot to even her out and every time I used it which was not too often, it acted like the space shuttle ready to head down the runway! Not too happy with Feidens attitude with regard to this purchase. Not going to call them to fix it. Not an ready to pay to listen to their guff again. Expensive machine never worked well since it got here. I always wished for a Whirlpool, be careful what you wish for! Junk, nothing but junk. Only 3 years old and I only do laundry about every 3 or 4 weeks. Live alone, so she certainly was not overworked.

My Whirlpool Dishwasher Model# DU980QPDP, just quit a few days ago after 21 1/2 years. We paid $554.04 for it back in 1995. It was the top of the line. Quiet, with 4 fold down shelves on the top rack. Silverware basket on the door. Also a separate knife basket on the door. It came with extra interchangeable door panels. When the white ones got dented we changed to the black ones. The racks are still in good condition. Never had one repair on this dishwasher, though I used it every day, sometimes twice a day. It had a 4 year warranty on the control panel and a 20 year warranty on the tub and door. We would have it repaired, but cant get the part.

We are now faced with paying about 1/3 of the cost of a new unit, after less than 2 years. I dont expect new appliances to last forever, but less than 2 years is ridiculous. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.
