In a heartwarming display of unity and collaboration, the Rwandan Security Forces (RSF) stationed in Mozambique's Cabo Delgado province joined hands with local residents to engage in community service. On November 8, 2025, the RSF team, alongside the residents of Mocímboa da Praia, embarked on a mission to revitalize and beautify their city. This joint effort was a testament to the power of community engagement and the shared commitment to a better future.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Mocímboa da Praia District authorities, aimed to transform the city through collective action. It brought together a diverse group of individuals and institutions, including local residents, public institutions, Rwandan and Mozambican security forces, and local government officials. This inclusive approach fostered a sense of shared responsibility and ownership among all participants.
After the community work, local leaders took center stage to address the residents, emphasizing the significance and impact of such initiatives. Mrs. Helena Bandeila, representing the Cabo Delgado Province, expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support and contributions of both the Rwandan and Mozambican security forces in maintaining peace and stability in the region. She also extended an invitation to local leaders and residents to actively participate in the monthly community work activities, encouraging a continuous cycle of engagement and improvement.
This collaborative effort not only addressed immediate community needs but also fostered a deeper connection and understanding between the security forces and the local population. By working together, they demonstrated a shared vision for a safer, more prosperous, and harmonious future for Mocímboa da Praia and beyond. This powerful display of unity and cooperation serves as an inspiring example of how diverse groups can come together to create positive change and build a better tomorrow.
